Dr. Ghullamullah Shahzad is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Intercity Gastroenterology in Fresh Meadows, New York, with extensive experience in digestive health. He earned his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences in 1998 and completed his residency in internal medicine at VA Bronx and Staten Island University Hospital in 2008. Dr. Shahzad pursued fellowship training in gastroenterology at Nassau University Medical Center in 2015 and an advanced fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he specializes in a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including GERD, IBD, celiac disease, peptic ulcer, liver disease, and more. He is actively involved in training residents and students, and leads humanitarian initiatives supporting educational programs for neurodiverse populations.

Dr. Pervaiz Iqbal is a highly experienced pulmonologist based in Brooklyn, New York, with over 41 years in the medical field. He graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of Health Sciences Lahore in 1981 and has been providing comprehensive pulmonary care since. Dr. Iqbal is affiliated with Interfaith Medical Center and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, where he treats a wide range of respiratory conditions. His office accepts new patients and telehealth appointments, emphasizing personalized care, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment for conditions such as asthma, COPD, bronchitis, and sleep apnea.

Dr. Ijaz Ahmad is a distinguished cardiologist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist based in New York. He serves as the Medical Director of NYU Langone Brooklyn Cardiology Associates – Park Slope and oversees multiple medical clinics across New York City. Dr. Ahmad founded the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee, where he serves as Chairman, and has also held the position of President of APPNA NY in 2021. Beyond medicine, he is an accomplished singer in classical and contemporary South Asian music. He is known for combining clinical excellence with leadership and community service, supporting initiatives that advance public health and cultural engagement.

Dr. Intazam U. Khan is an experienced neurologist practicing in Astoria, New York, with over 20 years of expertise in neurology. He earned his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, and is affiliated with multiple hospitals including Long Island Jewish Medical Center at Northwell Health and Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Khan specializes in treating neurological and spine-related disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, spinal stenosis, and spondylosis. He provides patient-centered care, supporting both chronic management and advanced treatment options. His practice accepts major insurance plans including Aetna, Humana, Cigna, Blue Cross, and United Healthcare.

Muhammad Kafeel, MD, is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist, clinical investigator, and physician leader serving patients throughout Queens and the greater New York City metropolitan area. Recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in 2025, Dr. Kafeel has more than 15 years of specialized experience diagnosing and treating solid tumors, blood cancers, and benign hematologic disorders.
As Co-Founder and Medical Director of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Novellis Health, Dr. Kafeel leads the development of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans incorporating chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, precision oncology, and supportive care. His approach combines advances in cancer treatment with careful attention to symptom control, quality of life, and each patient’s personal goals. Dr. Kafeel is actively involved in clinical research and has served as a sub-investigator on approximately 10 multicenter clinical trials evaluating emerging treatments for solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. His research experience includes studies of novel targeted agents, immunotherapies, hormonal therapies, and other innovative treatment strategies. He has also authored and coauthored peer-reviewed publications addressing clinically important subjects in hematology and oncology, including solid tumors, blood cancers, myeloproliferative disorders, and uncommon oncologic presentations. In addition to his leadership role at Novellis Health, Dr. Kafeel serves as an attending physician at Mount Sinai and NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. He previously practiced with Hematology Oncology Associates of            New York, part of The US Oncology Network, and Advanced Hematology Oncology PLLC. Dr. Kafeel completed his internal medicine residency, hematology-oncology research fellowship, and hematology-oncology fellowship at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. He subsequently completed fellowship training in hospice and palliative medicine through SUNY Buffalo, the Buffalo VA Medical Center, and
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. This additional training supports his comprehensive approach to cancer care, particularly symptom management, communication, and quality-of-life planning for patients with serious illnesses.
Known for his compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered approach, Dr. Kafeel is committed to making advanced cancer care accessible within the community. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Hindi, and Urdu, allowing him to communicate directly with patients and families from many cultural backgrounds.
