Dr. Ghullamullah Shahzad, MD
FACP: Chief Medical Officer, Synapse Trial Services

Dr. Ghullamullah Shahzad is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Intercity Gastroenterology in Fresh Meadows, New York, with extensive experience in digestive health. He earned his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences in 1998 and completed his residency in internal medicine at VA Bronx and Staten Island University Hospital in 2008. Dr. Shahzad pursued fellowship training in gastroenterology at Nassau University Medical Center in 2015 and an advanced fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he specializes in a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including GERD, IBD, celiac disease, peptic ulcer, liver disease, and more. He is actively involved in training residents and students, and leads humanitarian initiatives supporting educational programs for neurodiverse populations.

Dr. Pervaiz Iqbal, MD

Dr. Pervaiz Iqbal is a highly experienced pulmonologist based in Brooklyn, New York, with over 41 years in the medical field. He graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of Health Sciences Lahore in 1981 and has been providing comprehensive pulmonary care since. Dr. Iqbal is affiliated with Interfaith Medical Center and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, where he treats a wide range of respiratory conditions. His office accepts new patients and telehealth appointments, emphasizing personalized care, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment for conditions such as asthma, COPD, bronchitis, and sleep apnea.

Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, MD

Dr. Ijaz Ahmad is a distinguished cardiologist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist based in New York. He serves as the Medical Director of NYU Langone Brooklyn Cardiology Associates – Park Slope and oversees multiple medical clinics across New York City. Dr. Ahmad founded the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee, where he serves as Chairman, and has also held the position of President of APPNA NY in 2021. Beyond medicine, he is an accomplished singer in classical and contemporary South Asian music. He is known for combining clinical excellence with leadership and community service, supporting initiatives that advance public health and cultural engagement.

Dr. Intazam U. Khan, MD

Dr. Intazam U. Khan is an experienced neurologist practicing in Astoria, New York, with over 20 years of expertise in neurology. He earned his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, and is affiliated with multiple hospitals including Long Island Jewish Medical Center at Northwell Health and Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Khan specializes in treating neurological and spine-related disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, spinal stenosis, and spondylosis. He provides patient-centered care, supporting both chronic management and advanced treatment options.
